Duolun Road is a historic area in Shanghai that attracted writers and other prominent residents in the 1920s and 30s, giving it a reputation as a vibrant centre of thought and literature. The League of Left-Wing Writers was founded here. The road has been restored and is a popular destination today with a Museum of Modern Art, bookstores, cafes and craft shops. Street sculptures are found throughout.
